Compensation

Base pay range: $58,200 - $91,000 per year. Salary is determined by location, experience, and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead field surveys including control, boundary, topography, and laser scanning.
• Collect high?quality data using advanced equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Produce clear field notes, maintain organized records, and perform equipment checks and calibrations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders; represent Jacobs with professionalism and integrity.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Instrument Operator, Party Chief, or Survey Technician.
• Proven ability to complete all aspects of field surveying tasks.
• Experience in topographic design surveys, laser scanning, UAV photogrammetry, subsurface utilities, boundary and/or ROW.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work in outdoor environments.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass MRV, drug, and background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Trimble equipment and software.
• FAA Part 107 pilots certificate.
• CST, LSI, or PLS certification.
