Job Description

Responsible for field layouts, staking survey points, and verifying accuracy of data for DOT projects. Must retain and archive field data, interpret blueprints, calculate grades (e.g., bluetops, slope stakes, drainage, walls, bridges), and utilize GPS and Robotic Total Stations. Knowledge of Topcon software preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and communicate with project supervisors
• Schedule and oversee survey tasks and crew safety
• Verify data points for quality assurance
• Maintain detailed field notes and survey records
• Collect survey data using conventional and GPS methods
• Operate and adjust total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in GPS, total stations, data collectors, and computers
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and calculate grade data
• Physical ability to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights
