Job Summary:
Our client are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial general contracting and will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications to ensure high-quality project delivery on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, procurement, execution, and close-out.
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Prepare and monitor budgets; track expenses, manage change orders, and ensure cost efficiency.
Coordinate with field superintendents to ensure work is performed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress meetings with stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and manage performance of subcontractors and vendors.
Identify and resolve issues related to design, logistics, and construction methods.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and other applicable laws and standards.
Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, daily reports, and project close-out materials.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
Strong knowledge of building systems, commercial construction methods, and industry standards.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar).
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
PMP or other relevant certifications a plus.
