Requisition ID: 389248 Position Number: 480-715703291MHP3-99 Posting End Date: Open until filled Employer: Southern Health-Santé Sud Site: Winkler & Area Union: CUPE Department/Unit: Mental Health Program City: Winkler Annual base hours: 1885 Anticipated Start Date: TBD Position Overview As an integral part of the Mental Health & Addictions Program, the Mental Health Proctor III provides services and supports to individuals and groups experiencing multiple needs due to severe mental illness. The role focuses on rehabilitation and recovery-oriented intervention within the client’s natural and chosen environment. The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment, determining work priorities and actions as needed. Experience Two years of volunteer or work-related experience. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12 or GED equivalent; completion of formal mental health modules. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not applicable. Qualifications And Skills Understanding of Consumer Empowerment and Recovery principles. Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population. Proficiency in both official languages is essential. Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality in paper, electronic, and other formats. Good work and attendance record. Valid Class 5 driver’s license, all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000. Physical Requirements Ability to meet the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the job. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. May work evenings and weekends as needed.
