GateWay Community College is hiring a part-time Medical Billing & Coding Instructor. This instructor position reports to the Clock Hour Healthcare Program Supervisor and is responsible for delivering instruction in the field of Medical Billing and Coding, ensuring curriculum aligns with industry standards, and preparing students for industry. The instructor must constantly improve instructional methodology, contribute to curriculum updates, and continually assess student learning. Essential Functions 70% – Instruct students in the use of proper techniques and procedures in MBC according to the prescribed competencies; utilizes active learning techniques in the classroom; reviews students' work, evaluates progress, and continually develops and refines syllabi and lesson plans to improve student success and preparedness for work. 10% – Actively participates and helps in the curriculum development process; determines quality resources and materials needed to meet course requirements and requisitions them as needed while working within established budget. 10% – Keeps current and accurate records of students' progress and attendance; responds to requests for student information in an effective and timely fashion; identifies problems and makes recommendations for improvement through corrective action report generation. 10% – Performs other related duties as assigned.
