We need engineers to help define the way we build and test our products and features in a start-up environment. You will be the quality advocate to enable delivery of high-quality software in collaboration with top-notch research scientists, software developers, and hardware engineers. A day in the life
As a lab engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing rapid prototypes and test equipment to support multiple areas of the program. An ideal candidate has a mix of skills and interests including networking, IT, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software engineering and is interested in applying those skills to help build and maintain labs and test floors to develop and qualify a wide variety of products and technologies being developed at Amazon Robotics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Experience with network equipment installation and configuration
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings, or experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and system level lab management
- Knowledge and hands-on knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, SSH, SNMP, Telnet and DNS)
