Cleared Software Engineer - SIGINT
Bestgate Engineering supports mission-critical software and systems development for national security programs. We specialize in delivering advanced analytics, algorithm design, and engineering solutions that solve complex challenges for our government customers.

What You’ll Do:
As a Software Engineer focused on signal processing algorithm development, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software systems. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively to implement, test, and optimize complex algorithms and real-time processing components. Your work will contribute directly to systems that handle large-scale data processing, analytics, and signal exploitation in challenging operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and test new software or modify existing applications to add features
• Integrate software components into larger systems and ensure compatibility
• Debug and resolve defects in existing software
• Recommend improvements to processes, documentation, and development standards
• Write or review technical documentation for systems and software
• Lead development efforts as needed, depending on the project scope and lifecycle
• Develop queries and perform basic data operations for existing or planned data systems

Required Qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of experience developing DSP algorithms on similar projects
• Seven (7) years of experience with C++, Python, Linux, or similar languages/environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Four (4) additional years of DSP experience may be substituted for the degree
  • A Master’s in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for two (2) years of experience
• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with real-time systems and signal processing at scale
• Familiarity with RF, SIGINT, or similar mission-related domains
• Understanding of hardware/software trade-offs and performance tuning
• Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD, etc.)

Salary Range:
$135,000 -$155,000

The final offer will be determined after carefully considering the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the position.
