Machine Operator – Manufacturing / Industrial Environment

$20 – $25/hr | Contract Position

Location: Berlin Area

We’re hiring a Machine Operator for a specialized manufacturing facility that handles chemical-based products. If you have experience operating production equipment—and are comfortable working in a safety-focused, industrial setting—this could be a great fit for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and monitor machinery used in production and packaging.
• Weigh and add raw materials based on batch instructions.
• Record key data like temperature, pressure, and feed rates.
• Perform sampling and basic testing to support quality control.
• Load product into totes, drums, and tankers.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Monitor inventory and report low stock issues.
• Support maintenance efforts and safety programs.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and hygiene procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma required.
• 6 months’ experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Basic math skills (decimals and percentages).
• Comfortable around chemical handling processes (experience is a plus).
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and open to learning internal systems.

Preferred (but not required):

• Technical training or certificate in manufacturing or chemical processing.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, or PSM standards.
• Emergency response or hazardous material training a bonus.
